Biography:
Anne Mokoro is an Assistant Director of Fisheries in Kenya and a researcher affiliated with the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at the University of Eldoret. She is a GIS specialist with professional expertise in fisheries management, aquaculture development, spatial planning, and aquatic resource conservation. Her research focuses on sustainable aquaculture, ornamental fisheries, fisheries governance, aquaculture site suitability, and Blue Economy development. She has contributed to research and policy initiatives that integrate geospatial technologies with fisheries management to support evidence-based planning, environmental sustainability, and livelihood improvement in Kenya's fisheries and aquaculture sector.
