Biography:
Dr. Uday Kumar Udit is a Senior Scientist at ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture with over 14 years of research experience in fish reproduction, molecular endocrinology, broodstock nutrition, NGS, transcriptomics, stock improvement, and gamete quality enhancement. He has contributed significantly to research on broodstock nutrition, seed production, and reproductive health of Indian major carps, particularly Catla and Rohu. His work focuses on improving fish seed quality, sustainable aquaculture, and food security through innovative omics approaches. Dr. Udit has actively organized scientific trainings, international conferences, and outreach programs, contributing to capacity building and advancement of fisheries research in India. Dr. Udit has authored more than 25 national and international scientific publications in reputed journals and actively contributes to research on broodstock nutrition in India.
